Dining room wall murals

The dining room is where people sit and look at the walls the longest, which makes it the ideal place for a statement mural. A beautiful design behind the table sets the mood for family dinners and makes a dining area in an open-plan space feel like a separate room.

Designs that suit a dining room

• Chinoiserie and toile murals: classic birds, branches and pastoral scenes for an elegant look.
• Floral murals: oversized blooms or dark florals for drama.
• Tropical murals: palm and banana leaves for a fresh, holiday feeling.
• Landscapes: a painted view that adds depth to a small dining nook.
• Abstract and marble murals: a modern backdrop for minimalist interiors.

How to choose

Look at the wall you face when sitting at the table, or the wall behind the main seating. Warm colors such as terracotta, ochre and deep green make a room feel inviting, while light neutrals keep a small dining area bright. In an open-plan space, a mural on one wall visually zones the dining area from the kitchen and living room. For restaurants and cafés, a large-scale design creates a recognizable interior that guests remember.

Practical choice of material

Dining walls are close to tables and chairs, so a durable non-woven material is a good idea. Premium and Standard are thicker materials with a textured surface. Compare them on the materials page and see more feature-wall ideas in our living room collection.
