Bedroom wall murals for a relaxing space

The wall behind the bed is the perfect place for a mural. It is the first thing you see when you enter the room and it frames the bed like an oversized headboard. A well-chosen design can make a bedroom feel calmer, warmer and more personal than paint alone.

Popular bedroom styles

Calm landscapes: misty forests, mountains and soft painted horizons.
Romantic florals: floral murals with peonies, roses and wisteria, or delicate Chinoiserie designs.
Botanical and leaves: feather and leaf murals in beige, sage and blush.
Neutral textures: limewash, marble and textured murals for a hotel-like look.
Modern art: soft abstract murals with shapes and brushstrokes.

Tips for choosing a bedroom mural

For better sleep, most people choose muted, low-contrast colors: beige, cream, taupe, sage, dusty blue and soft pink. Dark designs such as moody florals or deep forests work well in a large bedroom and create a cozy, cocooning feel. If the wall has windows or a sloped ceiling, use the crop tool on the product page to place the most important part of the design above the bed.

Material and installation

Premium (canvas texture) and Standard (embossed with a subtle shimmer) give a rich, long-lasting finish. Peel and Stick is a good choice for rentals. All non-woven materials are hung with the paste-the-wall method; see the installation guide. To compare colors in your own bedroom light, order a sample set.
